Do you ever dream of total freedom? In Goms you get closer to this dream with every step you take.

In Goms the enthusiastic walker will find more than 700 km of waymarked trails over mountains, glaciers and high alpine passes. And for those who favour a less strenuous approach, there are gentler valley trails. In fact there's everything that the keen walker could desire. In addition to the three classic routes – the Goms High Trail, the Forest Trail and the Rotten Trail – there is an extensive network of trails that lead into this magnificent mountain world. (Incidentally, the "Rotten" is what the young Rhone is called in Obergoms!) Themed paths include the ever-popular Cäsar Ritz trail in Niederwald and the Nature Trail in Gletsch. A visit to the Kneipp Trail in Blitzingen will give a boost to even the most jaded metabolism.  And in the Swiss Nordic Park Nordic walkers will find 10 paths of varying difficulty between Lax, Fiesch and Oberwald.

The summer panorama map with suggested hiking routes can be obtained free of charge from all tourist information centres.
